Movie Monday Update Week of July 22nd

Hello and Happy Monday TC readers! A rather lax week this week! Two movies hitting the big screen this weekend as well as a few interesting home releases both in store and digitally. Don’t forget to check out my review on Despicable Me 2 here if you haven’t done so already. All right nothing more to say so let’s jump right to it!

A trailer for the movie Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom hit the web last week and you can check it out here! A chronicle of Nelson Mandela’s life journey from his childhood in a rural village through to his inauguration as the first democratically elected president of South Africa.-Via Imdb. Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom stars Robert Hobbs, Naomie Harris, and Idris Elba. The movie is expected to hit theaters on November 29th, 2013!

A trailer for The Fifth Estate hit the web last week and you can check it out here! A look at the relationship between WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and his early supporter and eventual colleague Daniel Domscheit-Berg, and how the website’s growth and influence led to an irreparable rift between the two friends. – Via Imdb. The Fifth Estate stars Anthony Mackie, Laura Linney, Stanley Tucci, and Benedict Cumberbatch. The movie is expected to hit theaters on October 18th, 2013!

A trailer for the movie The Hunger Games: Catching Fire hit the web last week and you can check it out here! Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark become targets of the Capitol after their victory in the 74th Hunger Games sparks a rebellion in the Districts of Panem. –Via Imdb. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire stars Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, and Jennifer Lawrence. The movie is expected to hit theaters on November 22st, 2013!
